The Surrey Care Trust is the charity that begins at home. We are needed because Surrey isn’t all leafy lanes!
We help local people of all ages who are finding life tough, giving Crisis Grants to families and individuals in urgent need in towns and villages in every part of Surrey, just as we have been since we were founded in 1982.
And today that is only the start of what we do...
We inspire people of all ages with limited skills to take up learning and offer practical support in finding employment.
We organise free training courses tailored to local needs in neighbourhood venues.
We nurture the abilities of challenging or vulnerable young people who face a tough future because they have achieved little in mainstream schooling. We offer them a second chance of success and life-changing opportunities.
We run two Swingbridge community boats as a base for people to carry out environmental work and develop their skills.
